Welcome to Crystalridge Ranch home of Crystalridge Cavaliers. My name is Reita Swinney. My husband and I retired from Dallas, Texas, to the hills of Oklahoma about 12 years ago. Here we enjoy a slower pace, have more time for family and friends, volunteer work, and of course, more time to enjoy our Cavaliers. The purpose of our website is to acquaint you with this wonderful breed and to proudly display our Cavaliers. We want you to get to know the Cavaliers who live here with us in our home. We also want to introduce you to many other Cavaliers who got their start here at Crystalridge.
We have had many caring friends and fellow breeders who have mentored us through the years.
We have also had many successes with our breeding program, having produced many offspring who are either finished champions or are on their way. So, we proudly display these wonderful Cavaliers and wish to honor those owners who have worked so diligently.
We are members of the Cavalier King charles Spanel Club/USA, Cavaliers of the Midwest, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club/North Texas where I help with Cavalier Rescue for Oklahoma

Here is our "Fab-Five, All-Star" litter appearing on the back cover of The Royal Spaniels magazine, Summer 2010 edition.
It is rare to have all of the same litter become champions...especially by only 2 years of age! Thank you CH Darby and GCH Ace for being the perfect match! Special thanks to all the owners of this very special litter.
Amazingly, 4 of the All Star Litter of 5 are now Grand Champions!

On October 16, 2010 in Canton, Texas our beloved
CH Crystalridge And All That Jazz earned the title GCH (Grand Champion). This is a new and special title offered by the American Kennel Club to AKC Champions. This requires 25 additional points, 3 additional majors and must defeat 3 other champions of record. Jaz did this in just 3 months! Thank you Marilyn, for seeing Jaz's special qualities, for showing her, and for bringing her to this point in her life. Thanks, too, to Linda Clark RVT, PHA, AKC and Tiffany Knox for your help in Canton, Texas.
Jaz qualified for the 2010 Eukanuba Tournament of Champions. Jaz has received her invitation to enter the AKC Eukanuba Tournament of Champions in Orlando, FL in Dec., 2011.

Meet CKCSC/USA and AKC GCH Mayfield Lottie Dottie Doo, JW. Lottie made history on June 5, 2010. Lottie became the first female Cavalier to be awarded the new, special title of "Grand Champion." (JW =Junior Warrant title is bestowed by the CKCSC/USA to a puppy who earns 10 points before 18 months of age.) Lottie was also named "Puppy of the Year 2009" by the CKCSC/USA...a huge honor. This girl continues to amaze us! Lottie is owned, handled and loved by Marilyn Mayfield. |

| Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are called “wash and wear” spaniels because they require very little grooming. They are considered a “toy” and can be found in the Toy Group of the American Kennel Club (AKC). There are 4 colors: the ever popular Chestnut Red and White (called “Blenheim”), the Tri-Color (Black and White with Tan points), Black and Tan, and Ruby (solid Chestnut Red). We were first drawn to the Whole Colors (Black/Tan and Ruby) because they are rare and seldom seen in the show ring yet are amazingly beautiful. However, we have come to adore all 4 colors. Each has its own beauty and all have the hallmark Cavalier King Charles Spaniel spirit and sweetness. As you scroll down our Home Page, you will see examples of all 4 colors. |

Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are dual registered with both AKC (American Kennel Club) and CKCSC/USA (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club/USA). Our bloodlines are excellent, which may not seem important if you are simply wanting a family pet. However, even for the family pet, it is very important to know the bloodlines that have been established and proven for quality, health, and temperament.
All of the Cavaliers in our breeding program have health clearances from Board Certified Specialists (Veterinary Cardiologists and Ophthalmologists). The results of these tests are filed with the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals), a viewable database for records of health testing on purebred dogs.
As you browse our website, please click on our “Info & Links” button and read the AKC Breed Standard, health issues of Cavaliers, and links to suggestions on raising, grooming, and possibly showing your Cavalier. Please feel free to email us if you have questions about Cavaliers. If you are looking for a Cavalier of your own, check out our “Pups” page. We screen all potential owners very carefully and if we do not have puppies, we are happy to connect you with other top reputable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeders. |

Our Cavaliers love country living! Here is CH Cooper, snoozin' by the fire. At other times he and the gang enjoy barking at deer that come up to our home, or just chasing squirrels and butterflies.
